Principle Principle



The LIG series measurement devices utilize the Fresnel diffraction principle, where light diffracts when passing through obstacles or the edges of apertures, forming a unique diffraction pattern. The image sensor in the receiver accurately captures this pattern, enabling non-contact, precise measurement of the object.

Fresnel diffraction principle








 

     When laser light passes through the measured object, it deviates from its straight-line path, resulting in diffraction. This diffraction causes alternating light and dark stripes to appear on the CCD image sensor. By analyzing the spatial distribution of these stripes, the size of the measured object can be calculated.
