Fine Wire Laser Diffraction Diameter Gauge
Outer Diameter Measurement of Enameled Wires, Copper Wires, Tungsten Wires, and Other Fine Metal Drawn Wires
Video
Principle Principle

When a laser passes through a small aperture or encounters a tiny obstacle, it deviates from its straight path, creating a diffraction pattern. This pattern results in alternating light and dark bands on the CCD image sensor. By analyzing the spatial distribution of these bands, the size of the measured object can be calculated accurately.

LSG-100D
Uses the Fraunhofer diffraction principle for precise outer diameter measurement of ultra-fine wires.
Compact and lightweight design, suitable for confined production environments.

Applicable diameter range

0.015mm - 0.8mm

Accuracy ±0.3μm
Repeatability±0.1μm

Fraunhofer diffraction principle

When a laser passes through a certain-sized gap or small obstacle, it will deviate from its straight-line propagation, causing a diffraction phenomenon. This results in alternating light and dark stripes on the CCD image sensor. By analyzing the spatial distribution of these stripes, the size of the measured object can be calculated.
